Venom Headed To Playoffs

Thursday, June 7th, 2018

Amarillo, Texas – The locally owned arena football team the Amarillo Venom is headed to the playoffs this season once again. This makes the sixth year out of seven since owner and GM Stephanie Tucker has been at the helm of the team. “We’re excited for playoffs this year,” Tucker says, “It’s lucky number seven for us!”

Going on the theme of it being “lucky #7” ABC 7 Amarillo is sponsoring $7 tickets (fees not included) for certain sections in the arena and the game will be starting at 7 PM on Monday, June 18th. Monday is not the normal night to catch the Venom but Tucker is confident that with the momentum of the season the fans will come out and support their locally owned and operated team. Tucker states, “It’s not our normal night to play, but we know that we have the best fans in the league so we aren’t worried about them missing this pivotal game. Plus, what’s better than Monday Night Football?”

The Venom are seated second in the south division of the CIF and beat the number one team in the north division, the Quad City Steamwheelers, at home on June 2nd. The Venom are on the road again this weekend where they willl face the Frisco based team, Texas Revolution, 2017 CIF Champions. The Amarillo Venom’s current record is 8-3.
