Amarillo, TX – The Amarillo Venom has partnered up with Gene Messer for a Back to School
Bash. Someone is going to have a chance to win a NEW Ford Mustang or F-150.

Starting at 10am, Saturday, August 12th, come out to Gene Messer Ford / Lincoln off Soncy to
sign up for a chance to PASS for KEYS. Four (4) contestants will be notified at 12 noon tomorrow
that their names have been selected for a chance to throw a football for a chance to win a new
vehicle. The contestant will then have until 12:30 pm to report to the registration area.

There is a lot more activities going on tomorrow in the car lot, such as bouncers for the kids. B’s
Bouncers will have a few bouncers for you to come out and jump for FREE while hanging out with

Again, the Venom will be at Gene Messer Ford under the Blue Tent for you to register for your
chance to win a new car/truck. Also, bring the family and enjoy a fun day in the lot.

Amarillo, TX – The Champions Indoor Football League released its Year End Awards for the 2017 season.   

Stephanie Tucker, owner and General Manager of the Amarillo Venom, was named CIF Executive of the Year.  This award is given to the CIF Team Owner, General Manager, or Front Office Employee that performed above and beyond for the 2017 season.  Qualities such as team management and guidance, participation on league matters, sales, leadership, efforts to improve the CIF, and overall representation of their respective team and the CIF.

The awards are voted on by each team in the Champions Indoor Football League that spans from North Dakota to Missouri to Albuquerque to Waco.  The CIF is made up from 14 teams in the Midwest. 

Owner Stephanie Tucker was quoted saying “Being nominated and selected by your peers is the ultimate compliment.  It is also satisfying to know that the league that you helped get started from the ground up is having such success and look forward to seeing where it will take the Venom and Amarillo.”

VENOM VETERANS and ROOKIES make the CIF All-Conference Team

Amarillo, TX – The Champions Indoor Football League released its All-Conference list for the 2017 season.   

Veteran Kicker Jacob Felton was named to the ALL CIF Team for the 2017 season.  He was also named 1st Team Southern Division Kicker where he leads the league with 96.7% PAT.

Amarillo Venom Quarterback Nate Davis was named 1st Team Southern Conference Quarterback with 57 Touchdowns and 201.9 yards/game. Center Cameron Edwards was named 1st Team All-Conference for the first time in his career.  “Having 3 great players named to the first team shows why we are ranked as second in the overall league with 3,667 yards offense,” said owner Stephanie Tucker.

Rookie Wide Receiver, Cedric Gilbert was named as 2nd Team Southern Conference with 17 TDs and 59.3 yards.  Center Terry Banks, Jr was also named to the 2nd Team Southern Conference in the Center position.  Helping the Venom on the other side of the ball, where the Amarillo Venom rank 2nd overall with their defense, is Defensive Back Donnie Duncan.  He was also named to the 2nd Team Southern Conference team.

The Venom fell short in the Southern Conference Championship with a score of 71-77 against the Texas Revolution this past Monday.  Venom Head Coach Julian Reese explained, “We are a young team with extreme talent, and I look forward to the off-season to continue to build yet another team ready to head to the Championship.”

Amarillo, TX – The Amarillo Venom have home field advantage throughout the Champions Indoor Football League playoffs.  The Venom defeated the Duke City Gladiators last Saturday, June 10th, to be able to head to the South Division Championship against the Texas Revolution team out of Allen, TX. 

The Venom have met up with this team a few times during the 2017 season with a 2-1 record in the matchup.  This game will be a rematch of 2016 CIF South Division Championship where Amarillo took the trophy to be able to compete in the Championship against the Wichita Force.  The Venom hope to keep the post season winning streak alive at home so they can host the CIF 2018 Champions Bowl on Monday, June 26th.  The Venom will play the winner of the North Division Championship between the Sioux City Bandits and Omaha Beef that will be played this Saturday, June 17th in Sioux City, Iowa.

Tickets for the South Division Championship that will be held at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Monday, June 19th at 7pm are on sale for as low as $10.  Tickets are available at any Panhandle Ticket Outlet or the Venom office at (806) 350-7277.
